New floor in the old lady's workshop (Custom Bakery)

This week we start the floor in the wifes bakery. We finished the house in December and the floor was originally poured October 2012 so it should be well cured by now. This is a 24'x24' workshop off the side of our garage where she will be doing custom baking. We chose to do a concrete stain and acrylic topcoat. I'll post pics as we move ahead on the project. We are not doing this as a DIY project, I just didn't have the time to take it on right now.

Here is the sample for color. We chose the chose the emerald green. We knew it would be much darker since our floor was a fairly dark gray to begin with.

Thought I'd throw in an update and some photos. The just finished up with it this past weekend with a floor wax.

The floor was not sealed when it was poured so that saved some steps of removing any sealer prior to starting. Fortunately the contractor that poured it also cam back to do the acid wash and final sealing. So he knew not to seal it when he pours it originally. He has been really good to work with. End cost was just @ $2.52 sq/ft.

Here are some photos of the acid down just prior to neatralization. They did two treatments with the acid to get the color to come out like we wanted. They let both treatments sit for 24hrs before neatralizing.






Here is the finished floor with the acrylic sealer.

Wow, looks awesome! I used to live in a condo that had stained concrete floors. I love the look of it!
