Armstrong VCT got from Home Depot, 12”x12”. We placed them with 4 tiles per color to make the space look larger. The glue is what Home Depot had. Everything worked great. Took a weekend to complete. Got a great tip from the sales person at the Depot. Heat the back of the tile with a propane torch till it gets soft, them lay on a piece of wood and cut with a sharp blade. Goes through like butter.

Hi guys - I'm like'n this VCT stuff. How dou you deal with the unfinished edge at the garage door? Is there a trim peice that protects it? I assume you end the run just under the door - I have a fluted strip of concrete that is outside the plane of the door and don't know how to 'finish' that area - Thanx....JS

Thanx for the reply - I'll look into the trim peice - I have 2 -16' wide doors and without some way to finish that 1/8" edge it'll get all Booged up in no time. I REALLY like to look of this stuff. Hopefully, any weld splatter or plasma cutter drippings end up on a black square coz I don't think it'll stand up well to that kind of abuse. My garage sees a lot of Fab Work....JS

What do you do about expansion joints in the concrete. I doubt you could just tile over them - could you fill them with some sort of caulking and then tile over?

Did you put a sealer or wax on the tiles?

I used the stuff they use at work on their vht tiles (and the tiles are old) called High Noon. I mopped it on and the more coats you put down the shinier it gets. The wife tried it in the kitchen and it's shiney as hell.
