I have a basement garage that's single car, but about 1100 sq ft. It was never finished so it has cinder block walls, a cement floor, and the ceiling is floor joists w/ insulation. I painted the walls this past week with a gray paint and have a friend coming to check it out Monday to see how much it would be to add a drop ceiling. I'm looking at flooring now and ordered some samples from RaceDeck. I don't have a drain in my garage and the water tends to puddle up in the middle, but dries out quick. Should I go with the free flow flooring or a solid flooring? My wife and I both workout a lot and have fitness equipment on the side we can't park on. I'm considering doing the entire garage in RaceDeck flooring, but I've also thought about laying horse stall mats on the side with the fitness equipment. The parking area is 26'x13' and the rest has shelving, fitness equipment, a freezer, toolboxes, etc. The horse mats are 4'x6' and 3/4" thick and normally cost $29.99 each on Black Friday at Tractor Supply. I know RaceDeck has a Black Friday sale also, but is the price any better than the Garage Journal discounted price?
I purchased a new Gladiator 4 tier shelf and assembled it last night, but my wife has already filled it up with her stuff...I purchased two more last night that should be in next week, so hopefully she doesn't take those.
