Hey All,
I just found this site and found it very interesting. I'm retired military (U. S. Coast Guard) originally from Georgia, now living in Northern New York (between Watertown and Syracuse).
My interests is mostly as an hobby machinist. I own a circa 1960 9" South Bend lathe that I've made a LOT of upgrades to, a Grizzly milling machine with a few upgrades and a BUNCH of tools. I use almost the mill and lathe almost daily. I also own a couple of old Harley's (a 1983 Lowrider - FXSB, and a 1987 FXR). I started making parts for my own bikes, and showed them off on my favorite Harley forum....and all of the sudden I started getting requests for parts. Since then I've made and sold parts all over the world. I hope this doesn't come across like bragging....that's not my intentions..... I just have a hobby that I've been able to make money with (all the money that I make goes back either into my shop for more tools, etc., or my bikes).
My bikes, first is the 1983, the second is my 1987:
