Howdy folks. The forum looks great! I am a car guy looking to upgrade the garage in a house I just bought. My last house had a 2 car garage but also a 30'x30' barn out back that I put a two post lift in. (photo is old house, new garage photos coming soon)

It was awesome and actually helped the sale of the home. So tell the spouse your garage upgrades are investments.

I am going to put a lift in the new garage. I found the scissor lift thread from Paul and really love the idea so far. At first I was concerned about access to the underside of the car but looking at photos it looks fine.

My new garage is detached garage, 9'6" tall, 25'x20', single 2 car door, 1 people door. I am looking to modify part of the ceiling to give me more height for lifting cars.

More to come.

Jon

Thanks everyone. I just moved in Monday so just getting settled. I should have my contractor in the garage next week to start the discussions. Getting excited.
