I am 60 year old excavating contractor and have been turning wrenches since I was 10 years old for my father. I found this forum looking for info on a lift for my 2 car garage at my house where i still do all my own work besides all my repairs at my place of business. After much reading here I joined and this is first post. I elected on Bendpak HD-9 lift and installed it myself after I raised my one garage track 14 inches at a cost of zero. I salvaged some track from a demolition job I was doing and I added a 14 inch piece of track vertical just below where the curve section is. I then raised the flat section and adjusted springs and all works great. I have 10 foot ceiling, ran 220 line to garage. I will add a few pics shortly
