New guy from Delaware here. I was raised in a family of carpenters and general contractors so I'm pretty handy around the house. My father was a builder for years, my grandfather was a master plasterer and bricklayer, uncle was a long-time painter, and I don't live up to any of their standards, but I'm not bad. I tell people that I don't know a lot about anything, but I know something about everything. Little bit of carpentry, little bit of plumbing, little bit of electrical, my wife says I know just enough to get myself in trouble. But really she appreciates what I can do (and appreciates even more that I've grown to be able to admit what I can't or shouldn't do, lol).
I've got a full woodshop in the basement but over the last few years I have been looking to put together a garage shop to handle basic household stuff and help maintain the aging Jeep Wrangler that I keep trying to break on various offroad and camping trips. I'm a learn by doing type and have learned the ins and outs of that Jeep, but don't have any welding or body work skills yet (any advice on developing those skills would be appreciated), which is how I found this place.
Already finding great information on lots of topics and inspiration for many projects to come.
