I've recently retired and am in the process of building a shop/garage where I can indulge in car and bike tinkering which I've only been able to dabble a bit throughout my working life. It will be 40'x30' and I plan on doing the majority of the work in constructing myself, however, I'm having the foundation done by a professional. I intend to install a two post lift and am working with the foundation guy and the designer/drafter to ensure the building will support this. I would greatly appreciate any other input on design, tools, etc. Thanks

Welcome to GJ, There are a lot of people here with the knowledge you seek. Find the right spots to post specific questions, and don't be afraid of the search bar, whatever you're thinking about doing has probably been done here (for better or worse)
