After browsing for quite a while I decided to join. My current basement is a shared space with the laundry area, and connects to a narrow but long garage underneath the house. The ceilings in the garage and basement are painfully low, so that will be something I work around as things progress. This will be a small scale project compared to a lot of the shops on here, I'm focusing on making the most of a small area, underneath our living space, with low ceilings.
First things first, I'm hoping to have a shed up in the next few months. That will clear out a large portion of the yard ****, and I'll section off the laundry area from the rest of the basement. From there things should be able to really get rolling, and the warmer weather by then will make it more enjoyable.
The garage will be used primarily for motorcycle storage and an auto maintenance area, with the basement eventually housing a motorcycle lift table, roller boxes, workbench, lathe, etc..
I'll snag some before photos once the shed plans are set in stone and hopefully can get some helpful insight along the way.
