Hello from the DFW area. I keep running into this sight every time I do a search when I'm trying to get ideas so the logical thing to do is to join.
I have been into cars since the 60's, my dad always had a shop. I built one after I moved to Dallas, but adopted some rug rats shortly after and didn't do much with it. After the graduated I find myself with a lot more time and money:rocker:firand. I have been trying to finish some of the projects that I started but keep getting side tracked repairing tools that have been sitting for 20 years. My current project is replacing my old single stage compressor with a new Quincy Qt-5. Lowe's has selling them for $ 1899, got their credit card for 10% off of that and then they gave me 6 mos to pay. The devil made me do it:evil: In return the wife had to get new furniture that I can't sit on unless I get get cleaned up:confused:

Hey Tac, I'm local to you. I live in N. Arlington and I primarily work in Dallas. Congratulations on joining the Quincy club. I own two at the moment that are getting a full rebuild after I can get some parts media blasted. What are the details on the old single stage you gave walking papers to? Also can you recommend anyone that's media blasted for you in our area. I'm looking for something a lot more affordable than $100 an hour with a 2 hour minimum. It's been quite shocking hearing some of these quotes I've received. Anyway welcome to the site. I'm a tad new myself so I'm still working on new stripes :) Nice to meet you neighbor!

Haven't ever had any done but I've been looking lately. I used to do my own with an old TIP 99 but I'm afraid the neighbors that are building 7000 to 10000 sq. ft homes around me will complain. You might try atozsodablasting that does more that soda and will let you do it yourself might be cheaper.
