Just registered in the forum. Am new and naive in auto garage biz; will be grateful to get any assistance you can render from scratch, (i.e required tools to setting up the garage) I want to build a career in this.

You have that problem as well. Some of these people also seem to be in the Phillipines and other similar parts of Asia and usualy use my web site email address and then ask for my web site so they can make an order

apart from the usual tools such as spanners and socket sets you will need either a hoist or potentially cheaper a pit put into the ground. Then many places use a transmission hoist to hold the weight ofr the box as you lift it out.

Presently, i don't have any place at the moment, but am looking for a warehouse to lease. I have gotten some price list for some items, which include lifts and hoist. i attach the price list of the items.
where can i get a good (online) training/tutorial on the repair and servicing of transmission. Any help?

good list but it's a lot ot buy at once, some of them you could do without. For example the key coding machine.

Or alternatively you could buy just a car hoist and the two tyre machined and begin with doing tyre services. Then while you are starting to build your customers you can learn about further work.

Also sure it's easy to do basic work such as changing oil and filters however without the right experience it would take a while to work out how to do much else without doing a lot of reading. Just hiring a workshop is quite a gamble unless you will be working with someone who knows what to do and you have a list of customers already.

I suggest you start on wikipedia or something to learn about engines and different cars. Also some car manuals are available free online, if you source on of them and see the finer details of every job.

Thanks Sam. I have made arrangement to hire job man, one that is good on engine maintenance, with time i will get apprentice to help.

I read engineering in school, so i have a good foundation and knowledge on engineering works.

I will check out that wikipedia as suggested, but once you have anything on the auto transmission pls do inform me. i want to specialize on this area.
