Hey,

I figured I'd throw a post in here to say hi. I'm from South Jersey and building a new shop at a home we recently purchased. I work on Hotrods on the side to make some extra cash for my own junk.

Anyway.....building a 30x70 workshop w/ 12'6 ceilings. Attached is 20x60 stucture which 20x30 will be sectioned for a clean area for building engines/driveline. The other section will be used as a "Mens Lounge" with couches, bar and tv etc.

I'm a fabricator and enjoy custom building headers, exhausts and other types of metalworking. I use the proceeds towards my 55 Chevy. It's old school iron with lots of todays technology. Car was built out of my previous garage.

Thanks guys. 55 is a 210 Sedan, 565" BBC using aftermarket block and internals, Dart heads roller cam etc. Turbo's are Garrett based 76mm units from Precision Turbo. I handbuilt the entire setup in my old workshop.

Nice work. So the turbo outlets are routed into the fender, then circle back to the TB?

Any intercooling? Any drivability issues, with respect to the brake master being so close and unshielded?

Thanks. Correct, the outlets are plumbed into the inner fender where I have 5x5x12 water to air intercooler cores I made tucked up behind the headlights. I have a resevoir in the the trunk which circulates a 67gpm pump along with an under car mounted heat exchanger to remove the heat. The system can also accept ice for those "day at the track"

I haven't noted any braking issues (fade or pedal issues) when driving for periods of time and allowing heat to build up. I tested it several times after long bursts and stopping and it seems fairly consistent. I used silicon based Dot5 fluid though. The downpipe is coated inside and out to reduce the radiant heat.

Currently running 9lbs of boost on pump gas, it moves the car pretty hard :) So far with intial tuning, we've averaged 14mpg using a 4L80E trans and 3.55 gear. I'd expect we could do 14lbs on pump gas and make 1350hp +/- and might see as much as 15mpg if we can lean burn it and continue to look for other areas of efficiency.
