Been lurking around for a little while now. Great board with so much info I felt it was necessary to join.
I'm a locksmith on Long Island, so I use my tools for work and the better snap on stuff gets pulled out for play with my jeep.
Look forward to many hours spent on this board.

Oh and anyone with a vintage tool box that can no longer obtain a key from the manufacturer can pm me. Im more than willing to help out, just send me the lock and I'll send it back with a working key.

Unfortuantly the shop does not photograph well. We have been in the same shop since 1968 when my grandfather started the business. Between stock, tools, and and equipment the shop is kinda messy. Hope to change that when we eventually move into a bigger place.
Actually opened a mosler safe yesterday. Had to drill two 1/2" holes in the back to put a light and scope through. Then dialed the combo up front while viewing the wheel pack through the scope.

Wecome to the GJ ,say I bet you would have loved Houdini they tell me he had a key for every lock...I wish I had known about your skills eariler in the year ,I passed up a tool box because it had no keys,well now I will keep you in mind!

Please do, and the reason houdini was able to have every key is because there where probably only 2 dozen different keys at the time. Each manufacturer used the same key for their locks. Houdini being a locksmith had no problem getting his hands on them.
