Hey all. Ive been lurking on here for a couple of months, and figured I should probably introduce myself and then duck back into my dark corner for awhile. I found this site after lurking on jalopyjournal for a few years.

Umm, the Cliff's notes on me. First my username is the nickname everyone I know calls me by, and has nothing to do with the former President. There were just too many David's in my group, and no one can pronounce my last name of Buschow (including me). I live in West Linn, OR, which is about 20 mins from Portland. Im a glazier, specifically custom shower doors and mirrors. For play, Im into building minitrucks , and my buddy and I have had a great time building them for the last couple years.

Anyways, he moved across the country to North Carolina, and left me lacking in the tool department. I have a decent assortment, but a lot of holes for sure. Before just blowing money on some 72 pc plier assortment for only $14.99, I figured I should do some research, and thats where this site comes in. Its a great wealth of knowledge, and you guys all seem friendly. Its not nearly as hostile here to newbies as JalopyJournal can be.

So, anyways, thats the quick and dirty. any questions, feel free to ask.

what would you like to know. Ive done so much to it that I could go off for a good couple posts. the quick and dirty on it tho. its a parallel 4 link setup with a panhard bar. that way I could keep the stock gas tank, although i had to raise it a couple inches. I had my buddy that builds rock crawlers build the rear suspension, I wanted overkill so that hauling a trailer would not be an issue.

Welcome aboard Bush! From another fellow Oregonian..
Love the Nissan. I've had a couple 720's and enjoyed the hell out of them.
Cheers,
Eric

Gforce, Im down at the bottom of 10th st, located a stones throw from Blankenship in a hoopty little apt, but it gets the job done.

As far as the trucks go, they are both air bagged and lay frame.

The dually has BellTech spindles and Air Ride Tech lower control arms with Slam RE7s up front, and the suspension is smoothed and powdercoated black. In the rear is a parallel 4link with a panhard bar. My buddy helped me narrow the rear end about 2 inches, because with the way the panhard pulls the rear end from lift to drop, my tires were hitting the fenders at full up and full down. I went with Slam RE8s in the rear for the added load carrying, but with the little pressure I have to run because of the large bag volume and light weight of the rear unloaded, it gets a little bouncy out back. I need to put smaller bags in the rear since I never haul a trailer and see if that helps.

As far as air management, its got 2 Viair 380's that pump up 2-5 gallon tanks to the 200 psi of storage I need to get it off the ground with passengers in it. For valves, its 4 wheel independant, with 8 - 1/2" SMC valves that are handled by some toggles I mounted in the stock cd player location.

The Nissan is a little more basics. Up front are some Slam RE6's and Belltech spindles. I need to build new upper and lower control arms due to some interferance issues with the strut rod, so until thats reworked I cant run a larger OD tire.

The rear is a very basic setup. We refer to it as a 2 link with panhard. its basically just a 2x2 bar that runs from the stock spring hanger back to the rear end. about halfway down the length of the arm are a pair of Slam RE6's that we spaced farther apart than we needed to, allowing a higher psi at ride height and getting rid of the bouncy issue the dually has. the only down side to this setup is it doesnt let the rear end flex independantly up and down. its basically a swing arm now. its not the best for handling, but, I didnt build the truck to take to the track, so it works for me.

Air management is very similar to the dually, except its only a single 5 gallon tank. I have another pair of viair compressors, but I only run this setup to 150 psi, with the light weight of the truck i just dont need the volume or pressure that the big truck takes. It also has 8 1/2" SMC valves in it wired the same as the truck.

Ummm, did that help, or did I just ramble on for 5 mins about stuff no one else gets and everyone is now really confused? any other questions? I can talk bag stuff all day
