Hi folks,
I have a 3-car garage, with one entire bay devoted to my man cave lounge/lifting area, the rest to storage and one car. The house is about 7 years old so the slab is still in great shape.
Currently looking at paint colors and various flooring options while making trips to a storage unit to prep for a makeover. I've had carpet in the lounge area the entire time, mainly because it's set up for my mid-life crisis stereo. Carpet is better for audio, but it ends up looking pretty grungy in a garage. I also have padded furniture and a few acoustic panels. Whatever flooring I choose, I might end up throwing a rug over it if the echo is bad enough, which will be a little disappointing if I really like the flooring.
The heaviest work I'll be doing is installing brakes and coilovers, and I have forklift jack stands with a flat bottom, so I'm not too concerned about damage. I don't bother doing my own oil changes.
Lots of great info here - I've been reading for days.
