Hello,

Nice place you have here. Old guy retired cabinetmaker & hobby machinist from Huntington Beach, CA. I enjoy machine restoration & have a garage full of 60's era equipment that are a joy to use. Still a little bit of a tool junkie but have backed way off from indiscriminate accumulating. :) I like old cars but haven't owned one in many years. There's always the car shows though.

Regards,
David Brown

I've built mantles at the request of customers when I had my shop but mostly cabinets & the occasional trade show display. I have lived in Huntington Beach since 1960 & my shop was also located here. You're on for car shows. Do you remember the Bixby Nolls dragster expo & car show? Man I really miss that event.

Do you do any cabinetmaking on the side, or are you completely burned out on it? Oh, and greetings from Quakertown! I spent about 9 months living on Oswego St in HB.

I do the occasional small woodworking or machining project but no more full kitchens. Are you in need of one? If so, I could do the layout work to maximize space & instruct/help with constructing them if you're up for that. No charge of course. Might as well pass along what little I've learned in life. :)

I had the privilege of attending the final Bixby event with an elderly friend, Tom Greer. He was the owner/builder of the Greer, Black & Prudhomme dragster. It ran from June of 62' through May of 63' with 236 wins & 7 losses....winningest front engine dragster in history. He introduced me to Don & their reunion after 50 yrs. was kinda' touching. Funny thing was, the car guys didn't seem to know him but the boat guys recognized him right off. Apparently he had an equally successful fuel boat after the car. It was a day to remember for me. The best part of the day for Tom was dinner at Johnny Rebs I've heard of the Signal Hill show but haven't made it there yet. Let's do it this year. There's also the Seal Beach show.
