Just wanted to say hello from the Detroit area! Waiting for spring so I can use some of the ideas I've been seeing on here. I have propane and kerosene heaters but no insulation yet in my detached car and a half garage. Which is what led me to this site.

SF: that's what i use for heat too, but if you look around you might find something better because there are a lot of member's threads to read. if you find a better answer please post your findings here.

Same kind of garage here. My propane heater (Mr. Heater, dual burner, tank top) could not get my insulated garage above 40F last winter. It did work okay the other day when the temps were in the upper 30s.
