Hi all,
I am an engineer living in Sydney Australia, running a company which does precision CNC manufacturing in the medical industry. I recently moved to a 5 acre property on the outskirts of the city and about to have myself a 40'x40' shed. So far the slab is down, and the shed will be put up in the next couple of weeks. It is an american barn style, taller in the middle than the outer sides, all steel construction.
Inside it will be fitted out as a mainly mechanical/fabrication workshop, plus maybe the occasional bit of woodwork. I enjoy modifying cars, club motorsport and also into motorcycles.
Loving all the great info on this site, so many inspirational garages, truly amazing!
I might put a build thread up as things progress, first job will be to paint the floor once the building is complete. Next will be wiring, lighting, fabricate workbenches etc etc. I will be creating an office in one corner, partitioned with drywall. Putting a vehicle hoist, workbenches and a fabrication area. I will be doing most of the work myself.
Will keep you updated as it progresses
