Hello, I've been reading a lot here lately, thought it was time to sign up. This is a great forum, with a lot of useful info on a lot of different topics. Seeing some of your garages makes me jealous, but I'm happy with the garage(s) I have. When I built my house 10 years ago, I built an attached 28'x30' two bay garage, and it has been my favorite part of the house. I've started construction on another garage, and looking for information on layout and lighting brought me here. I have a 16'x32' post frame shed, and I am adding a 30'x32' garage with two 10'x10' doors. One bay will be to store my slide in truck camper, the other will be work space. I'm sure I'll have a few questions, thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to GJ, 383. Nice place you have.

Just a thought, can you create a room down at the end with a door on the right to put the slide in camper? That way it will be out of the way and you aren't tripping over it every day. Otherwise, it will always be an object in the room to work around. Just a thought...

Good Luck with your build!

Thanks for the suggestions. I had the camper in the shed last winter, but it is a chore to squeeze it in there.

I plan to us the old shed for lawn and garden storage for now, with hopes to turn it into a woodworking shop in the future. I left the sliding doors on the old shed so I can close it off and keep sawdust out of the new part. I am planning to store the camper and maybe my truck in the bay on the right, and have the other bay as a designated work area. I've got a little more done, almost ready for siding, and the concrete floor.
