New gal from Central IL

Hi everyone,
I live in Central IL and have a great workshop thanks to the previous owner. It is a Morton bldg with two halves that are 40x50 and 40x40. The 40x50 side has a kitchen and a bathroom as well as radiant in floor heat. The smaller side is uninsulated and has a gravel floor. I use the shop to work on cars, woodworking projects, and my girls use it to ride their Big Wheels. Since I am a stay at home mom, we plan on spending lots of time in "the shop". I'm really happy to have found a great site such as this to discuss all things shop and tool related!

What kind of cars do you work on?

Thanks! I have a few projects: a '78 CJ-5 that I put together from two parts Jeeps, a '48 Kaiser that I am fixing up for a friend, and a '59 Desoto Firedome that will be our family summer fun car. I also tinker with my '97 Suburban if it is something simple...in other words, always something!

Welcome from another central Illinoisan. I wish I had as much storage space as you have, but I guess if I did, I'd be getting more projects (can't work on the ones I already have). I'm north of East Peoria.

Yeoman, I agree! I am storing a car for a friend right now and a tractor for the previous owner. Once I get the old frame from the Firedome out, I'll have more space!!! I'm just west of Bement.
