New garage advice.

Hi all,
My partner and I are currently purchasing a new (to us) house. Although it doesn't currently have a garage it has the perfect spot for a large (by UK standards) detached garage and has had planning for one which has now lapsed. We've spent a good chunk of the garage funds on buying the house, and we have a few other immediate needs that will need sorting too, however whilst wandering eBay last night I can across this company and wondered what you thought something like this would be like as a garage?

The original plan had been to have a garage made to fit the hole ,see the picture below, with a small area above for storage and maybe an office or spare flat etc, but as funds are tight I'm wondering if one of the steel "sheds" might be a great interim for the next few years, until we can afford to build the dream?

I'd love to hear your thoughts and any down sides they may have?

Depending on whether you are using it mostly for car storage/protection from weather or need a lot of electrical included. If you get this, you will likely delay getting your "dream garage" for a long, long time.

I know it would be delaying from the dream build, but as cash is going to be tight for a while but I guess that's something I can live with.

Are they a pain to run electrics etc in? Do you think I'd be better saving the money and putting it towards the final product?

I looked at these garages / sheds at one point, but discounted them as I guessed they would be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. So I would keep that in mind depending on how you are planing to use it.

On the topic of the buy this just now, and the replace later. I really could try and hold out to get what you are after, otherwise this will still be there in 10 years time, and if it is not what you want it will anoy you.

I would suggest that no matter how much this would cost, use that amount as the start of the savings for the garage you want.
