Hello

I have finally added on to my original 2 car garage by adding another 2 car garage to it. The driveway was also updated from asphalt to cement. I have a lot of questions on what to do now.

The old garage was built in 1994 and I want to seal it.

what can I use that is easy and will help with dust and stains. I believe the easiest is a penetrating sealer. Can I fill the expansion joints Or just apply the sealer?

The driveway and sidewalk is only a week old I know that I have to wait 30 days before doing anything.

again what products to use.

I live in Michigan with hard winter and salt. I would like to preserve the cement and daily driven cars are parked in the garages.

What should be used to fill the water erosion that occurred on the old block of the garage?

Should I chalk between the driveway and cement block?

What would I use for the row of block laid for the garage?

Any help and advice is appreciate. I want to preserve and protect everything for as long as possible and to make cleanup easier.

Thanks

Look into ghostshield products. Vendors here carry it. I used the 4500 densifier and the 8505 sealer. If out in the sun make sure it’s uv proof.

Agree, Ghostshield 4500 Densifer and 8510 penetrative protection (higher amount of active ingredients and longer lasting) is a good combo to protect concrete from erosion and water freezing. They don't though eliminate dusting since both of these products are penetrative, not topical. A densifer/sealer combo would be a better choice if dusting is a concern.

I looked online at those two products. How long do you have to wait for the Densifer to dry before doing the sealer and how long in-between sealer coats do you have to wait?

Densifiers should be applied about a week before to allow full chemical reaction. Sealer coats can be applied as soon as they dry to touch which is normally a few hours.
