New Garage and House

Well, the builder's making progress. Should be in by mid to late January. Obviously, we'll have house-stuff to prioritize. But I'm hoping to quickly focus on getting the out-building garage squared away. I dug the footer holes for the 2 post this past weekend.

Detached 3 car is 24 x 32....limited in size as a percentage of the square footage of the house...damn township codes. None the less, I'm very excited to finally have my own dedicated workspace. It'll have a natural gas heater, electric and water run to it as part of the build.

The flooring, lift and benches etc are up to me.

Thanks for all the info on here. It will very helpful moving forward for ideas.

Man 24x32 is still a nice Garage. 3 Cars and tons of stuff no problem, and you have the 3 car attached. Looking good.

Very nice. To have 6 overall parking spots or whatever you want to call them is a dream. suppose the outbuilding couldn't have a second floor for the same reason. sq footage, not foot print. Shame.

Yep...it is a shame. The city ordinances restrict the height of the outbuilding and its overall size. But, trust me, I'm not complaining. We're very blessed and fortunate to finally be building our dream house. So happy to get as far away from Detroit as possible.
