New garage build

The building of the garage has already begun.

So here is what things looked like before anything got started:

April 10th, we have groundbreaking

April 12th, first layer of concrete down:

April 19th, cinder block foundation

May 8th, they put 99% of the roof shingles on:

May 9th, we got a door!!!

We have concrete!!!

Time to pour a driveway!!!

June 22nd, my girlfriend got me some new garage decor:

July 17th, the electrician decided he finally wanted to stop by this week:

July 27th, spent this weekend installing and wiring up the cameras. Next part is to dig the trench for the conduit and actually have the connection of the cameras to the DVR

August 1st, the sheet rock guy did his job:

August 2nd, spackle guy showed up this morning. If you can see the cinder blocks down at the base, you'll notice white painted lines. I painted those so I'll know where the frame studs are for mounting purposes.

I originally wanted to do the racedeck tile flooring but that idea appears to be on hold for now.

So until we make the decision to actually go that route, I decided to stop off at home depot and get this for the floor:

That blue was the Aqua Blue Metallic.

The heat pump is a two way pump. Blow the air one way and you get heat, reverse it and you get cool.

The old garage behind it will be the workshop. That's where all the tools will be stored and any mod projects done on the cars.

Made another Home Depot run this morning after going to the bank. Got some inside light upgrades (since my gf likes the warm white color we're keeping the outside lights as halogens):
