I picked this up for $10 at an estate sale today.

I like the patina, but their is quite a bit of surface rust. So I've got to decide what I want to do with it. Their are some really nice looking non-original restorations. What is the GJ opinion?

It is a Hobart Cabinet Company tanker desk (all metal). I can't find any pictures of this specific model, but I found similar stated as 1940s and 1960s. Any info on this would also be appreciated.

Thanks guys, I knew it was a steal when I saw it. Well at least I though it was, since I had to have my wife verify that my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, and then we both asked to make sure it was the correct price.

The labels are:

Right side-

I can't make out the left side middle.

Some worn-out 220 grit on a random orbit sander will do some magic on the top, if you take it easy and do even passes.

Not sure about all the curved parts, though.
