I am getting the materials for my garage from Lowes. They currently have my garage doors 12X10 & 12X16 on sale. They are insulated steel doors that only come in a couple of colors that won't match my garage doors on the house. My question is, can they be painted without taking them to a body shop to have it done? Will some sort of paint put on with a brush work? Thanks for the help.....Mark

I am not too sure about the results from brushing it on a metal door but you can easily spray it with one of the more common inexpensive sprayers. On my current garage build the painter should be painting the door any day and the doors are already hung. No mention of needing a fancy auto body shop spray job. Well that is unless you want a nice glossy finish lke a car. ;-)

You should be able to order them in primer ready to paint. Although those might not be on sale....
