I am personally very excited to announce our new
First, there is nothing new about the product. We have been selling it for years. We just simplified our kits. We still offer a la carte, but for people who just want to buy a kit and have what they (really) need, this page makes it easy!

Honestly, it started with a phone call from a GJ member last week. He was frustrated at the way people present kits and that we all suggest primer but we all charge extra for it... We took his suggestions and completely redid the page.

What Changed
  • Primer is now included in the kits
  • Updated contents & accessories
  • Better Information / Presentation
  • Flake & Full Broadcast Options will show the base epoxy color and the flake color when selected.

Thanks for the reply.... This is not a new product, just represented in a much simpler format. As far as looks go, many of our customers achieve the flaked look with Rust Bullet. Did you get flakes and a clear coat?

I am trying to decide between Armorclad or the Rust Bullet Garage kit. Do you still need an additional Clear "Top Coat" to achieve the glossy finish?

Just a suggestion? Great idea for a kit but most residential 2 car garages are in the 350sq foot range. 250 isn't big enough and 500 is overkill. So might maybe want to think about a mid-size?

Also debating about this vs armorclad. Since the armorclad epoxy is 100% solids, is it that much more difficult to apply for a first time user?

Great feedback. We can build a system for almost any size garage but two-part products come in very specific ratios. Most of the two car garages we see are at least 400 sq ft and getting bigger every day. If you need a different size system just let us know.

Also debating about this vs armorclad. Since the armorclad epoxy is 100% solids, is it that much more difficult to apply for a first time user?

Our 100% solids product is available and we are launching 100% solids kits and metallic kits today or tomorrow. Both systems use the exact same resin only the hardener is different.

DIY customers use 100% solids all the time. Having worked with both I find the high solids to be the easiest to work with and I don't see a performance difference EXCEPT in some very very specific applications where mil thickness is key.

You also have to understand that many of these systems come from the same places and in fact some competitors will call the high solids system 100% solids. It's not so we don't. Not saying ArmorClad in specific and I will tell you that they put some great product out there.

No squeegee. Just roll it. If you go 100% you need to squeegee. Higher solids penetrates better. Prep is still key but it is more forgiving and requires less profile than 100%
