I am relatively new to Garage Journal. I want to thank everyone for their posts and replies. It has helped several times as I planned my retirement garage. My garage will be 30x30 with a service door, bathroom and 2 10 foot garage doors 9 feet high (insulated). The ceiling varies from 10 high to 17 feet high (shed roof). I will have blown installation in walls (2x6) and ceiling (R40). I live in Kentucky which has moderate winters and high humidity summers. I have no natural gas available, only electric or propane.
Now my question.....I was planning on using a split system (mitsubshi or like) to heat and cool the garage. Does anyone have any long term experience with these units and their ability to heat and cool? Does anyone have any other suggestions for units for my planned garage.
