Installed this Reddy Heater 30,000 btu for my 24x24x10 insulated garage. Lower SE MI is my location. Plumbed it into my twin propane tank house line.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for that? And how does it heat your garage? I have a 24x48 cabin I'm looking to upgrade the heater as well as the electric stove. I have a buddy that's licensed to install gas lines. Thanks!

paid $250 i think. DON"T BUY THE BLUE FLAME ONE! That is what this one is. I have had all kinds of problems with it. My dad told me to buy the radiant ceramic heater like we have in our cabin. That one will force you to open the windows it will get so hot. This one, does an adequate job. I wanted heated air instead of heated objects (blue flame vs. ceramic infared). But if I could do it all over, I'd buy the ceramic infared. Either one will work. The blower on this blue flame one is over rated, noisy and doesn't move much air.

I thought heaters needed to be hooked up with black pipe for natural gas or copper for propane where the supply line runs inside of a building.

That yellow is flex pipe. And the lead line to the heater is propane hose left over from a project. It all passes.

No. Ratdoggy, not plastic line.

James-W the flex line is available anywhere big box and has NG and LP on it.

Sent from my bag phone...

Been using the heater for about a month since I fixed the leak... so I go out to the garage, turn it on setting 2, walk back in, grab a beer from the fridge, open the beer, take a sip, put a second beer in my pocket, walk back out to the garage and its warm enough to work with my coat off, speaking about the few cold days we have had, I know there hasn't been many. I will update once we get to colder weather... might take drinking the entire beer before my garage is ready! but we will see.
