Hi guys...

Finally starting our project. (Long long story on why it was stalled for so long)

This is to be a detached 26x32, with an attic/loft with a staircase. One of the three bays will have a vaulted ceiling for a lift...the other two will have the attic above. 6 insulated windows, 3 insulated doors. We plan to insulate the 2x4 walls and roof with spray foam insulation.

A friend in the HVAC biz suggests an electric heat pump (14 seer) with electric back-up.

I have been reading here many having good luck with the Mr Heater Big Maxx.

I'm not sure if I would need the 40 or 75 unit, and moreover...how often will I need to refill a tank? I do realize that if I want to keep it at 80 day after day it would run out quick. But I'm figuring on putting it low while not using the garage and bringing it up when working.

I'd really appreciate feedback and real world experience.

For the record, my existing little garage is only 18x18 and I used an electric Dayton unit out there...works great.
