Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT New garage in Raytown Missouri

Hello everyone, it has been a while since I last posted here. 2020 and 2021 has been crazy for us. April 2021 we got out of debt, finished our home and sold our home in Colorado Springs. We finally moved to Kansas City Missouri area to be closer to family. Our new home was closed on 9 August 2021. Definitely better property than what we had in Colorado. Main garage even big enough for my Silverado Extended Cab to fit in. Yard is almost an acre, has storm cellar, and huge bonus for me was the additional garage. Does need some extra work, but beats being in a shed that was an 8x16. I will add to this thread as soon as I get more things to do and share with you guys.

The tree cut down was a locust tree which was butchered by the previous owner. Had huge branches hanging over the house and Circle driveway. So it was time for it to go.

My house in Colorado was mostly brick, and the house set up, wasn't eye appealing to me. When I saw this house layout and different colors in the brick really caught my attention. Having 2 garages was the icing on the cake.

I see you are a Chiefs fan. I grew up in Kansas City even though I have been in Texas for 45 years I am still a Chiefs fan. Nice house and garage I will follow along with the progress.

you got jokes. Not having a driveway back there will same me some money from spending it. Since August, these are the things we had to get done. HVAC, electrical, some plumbing, Gutted the basement due to mold, and asphalt on main circle driveway, carpet in bedrooms and new wood floors, 26 windows and 5 doors which will be installed in January or February. Trees in backyard next to shop and power lines this coming week.

I know what you mean. We live on a main drag here, so having a circle driveway is very nice to have. Our city ordinance doesn't allow it unless it was already in place before the ordinance.

Here is the inside of my future workshop. Where you see white cardboard on the studs,needs to be sistered. All walls need some work, but I am up to it. Windows will be replaced this winter. Already ordered and being made as we speak.

We got in Raytown May 14th and we are gradually getting use to the area. Definitely different from Colorado. Moved back to be closer to the family.

Here are some pictures of the 2 walnut trees in front my garage and our fruit cellar. They are in the process of coming down.

This tree is in neighbors yard,but majority of it hangs over in our yard. They will bring most of it down to prevent it from falling on the garage if we have severe weather.
