After many years of saving dollars and the last six months trying to find a contractor, I am finally seeing my building take shape.
It is 50x32 with 12 foot walls and scissor style truss.

That's a great size for a home garage. Big enough to where people are duly impressed and your wife thinks it is ridiculous but not too big to the point that you can't reasonably maintain the building and its contents. Love the scissor trusses and I assume they were chosen because a lift is in the works.

Thanks for the comments. Yes I choose the scissor truss to gain a little more height and open the space up. I have a Advantage four post on order, waiting to finish interior prior to installation.

I guess at this point I will go with drywall, but am not looking forward to the mess!

Nice start! I'm surprised they didn't use center-blocking on the 12' walls.

I'm also curious about who paid for the concrete truck's recovery?

What size are your garage doors, and how much space do you have between them? I'm trying to figure out how to do framing between 10' wide x 12' tall doors and keep the spacing between them to a minimum (garage width limitation).

I live in West Tennessee.

The garage door size is 10 x 10 with 18 inches between doors.

The walls are all 2x6. The inspector here said that blocking is not required?

LOL. I am not sure who paid for the recovery. Of seven half load concrete trucks this is the only guy that choose to try the wet ditch.
