New Garage - Insulation

Just got a new detached garage built. All my previous ones were attached. Now about insulation.I was thinking about using the typical fiberglass batts and vapour barrier on the walls. I have good storage space up in the raffters and I want to utilze it . Would it make sense to leave the underside of the roof uninsulated and just do the walls....or is it pointless to not do the walls and ceiling together?
Thanks

If you think about it heat rises, so the biggest heat loss in any structure is through the roof. Insulate the whole thing.

insulate the whole thing. and may sound stupid but it wont cost much more look into roxul insulation.. makes a hug difference on the noise coming out of the garage when completed. I used roxul and my neighbour used fibreglass. I can hear his impact drill if he uses it at night. in mine the compressor will be running chop saws, impacts etc at 2 and 3 in the morning and people walking by the garage can't hear it. I also went with the thickest vapor barrier I could get.

If the ceiling is not vented is it ok to add insulation? My builder said I should hold off doing the ceiling until I put a vent up there.

Thanks for the confirmation guys, I did not see that being discussed as part of the guidance to the OP and I wanted to make sure I had that right. I hope to add a mini split system to my garage next spring and will do all the attic venting and insulation work at that time.
