Concrete gets poured Tuesday morning, concrete contractor will finish forms tomorrow and it gets inspected then too. 12 inch thickened slab on edges, 5" in center.
Couple basic questions, I asked him and he says he'll do it anyway I specify, which doesn't help me. He basically doesn't want the liability if something is wrong.
Anchor Bolts: I laid them out so they are 6 feet or less apart and they should not interfere with my 16 inch center framing. I am buying 10", is it standard to leave them out 3" or 2.5", is there a standard?
He asked me about hurricane straps in the concrete, in South Dakota we get good winds but I think the anchor bolts will be plenty, do I need hurricane straps?
Thanks (More questions on framing forthcoming.)
