Well it is a little late to start a thread following the construction of my new garage but better late than never so they say. Anyway, here are some pics and some details.

16' x 42'. 16 wide was my limit as I needed to be 10 feet from the lot line, I am close.
11 foot walls
13 foot ceiling at the peak with scissor trusses for room for a four post lift.
2x6 walls
R19 insulation in the walls
R30 in the ceiling.
5 inch thick concrete
two ceiling fans
220 -50 amp service
70,000 BTU sterling heater
No A/C
Sanded plywood on walls up to 7 feet for durability.
Drywall the rest of the way and on the ceiling
6-8' 4 bulb T8 lights in main garage area.
2 - 4' T5 bulb T5 light fixtures over the workshop
I intend to epoxy coat the floor when I decide who's product to use.

My goal was to be able to get three cars in this space with some room to spare as a workshop. So the plan is to add a four post lift, so one car on a lift and two on the ground. I should note, I have not coated the floor yet and I still have some work on the paint. The paint is kind of a story. I was trying to at least be a little different with the standard grey and red. I have a sister who wants to paint some cars on the wall for me so i am not done with paint yet. Here are some pics.

Nice.

Are you still going to have your existing garage, or do you have plans for it? If you're going to still use it for a garage, do you plan on cutting a door between the two spaces? Looking forward to some more pics.

BTW....Welcome to Garage Journal!!!!
