I feel so lucky, built a new garage had a buddy of mine who just happens to own an floor epoxy business, cover my floor in the past several days, the floor is 44X30, he charged me $700, his guys grounded down the floor put a primer coat, waited 24 hours then put the final coat with chips, looks very good, waiting to serve my Christmas dinner in my new garage tomorrow. I think I should pay him more money, he insisted that's ok. I also plow snow with him so I think I need to buy lunch and coffee for this season, what's everyone think?

davidw221 - your friend did you a solid. After some thought I'm sure you'll discover that special something that will bring joy to your friend this holiday season.

Meanwhile, enjoy your new floor and the good times you'll have tomorrow with family and friends. Pictures?

1,320 square feet for $700??????

Wow! Isn't that normally around $3 to $4 a square feet?

Your decision to buy lunch and coffee for the season would be a great gesture. You also need to "promote" for him. Post his name and contact information in a new thread with pictures. Are you on Facebook? Is he? Promote him on Facebook.

I'm not done with the garage, I'm going to put a 12" Formica border around the bottom of the drywall to protect it. I'm going to start installing the Cabinetry next week, then put the trim and paint the doors. I have new compressor, a sink wall mounted air hose, and shop vac, with the holiday's and a complete roof system from the ceiling up, this project has taken a back seat.

Formica -- now that is a good idea. Durable, pretty inexpensive, and any/color design you can imagine. You are not popping for granite? (Read... counter top, haha).

Nice floor, and it sounds like you have a good friend.

I'm putting cabinets and using the stock counter you get at the big box stores, I'm matching the same color for my wall trim, going to glue it on then roll the surface to smooth it out, looking to place a bead of chalk at the top of my trim to keep moisture from getting behind it.
Here in Indiana, when my wife drives her car into the garage and theirs lots of snow falling off the car, and it splashes, I figure it won't hurt, also when I spray the floor down I can protect the drywall with this method.
Last I think it's a good transition between the floor and the wall.

Oh by the way, I'm going to purchase 4 sheets today from the local Lowes, they have 4 of them that are damaged, $48 normally, $15 because the botton of the sheets are broken, so they are damaged goods.

The floor looks great, he definitely did you right. Breakfast and coffee would be the first good gesture. If you keep going the direction your going with discounts, I'd say get that man a
