I'm new to the board here and I have to say I thought I was the only nut case that took more pride in his garage than the cars that were in it. Well I'm about 3 weeks away from moving into the new house. Then I get to spend the next 6 month getting the garage the way I want it. This site has been very helpful in laying out the plans and design for what will be the space in which I spend most of my time. Thanks to all for the info

That's awesome. How many square feet is the garage and house? It looks like it is about half and half. :rocker:

Thanks for the complements guys. The garage is about 1000sq feet. The house is actually about 3800sq ft. All four bays are 13 foot ceilings. I will end up with a lift in at least one. I would have like to have about 15 feet but the design just didn't allow it. Here is a shot of the house from the front or what would be the right of the above picture. The garage is on the left side of this shot.

Yeah, the roof is quite cut up. My wife thinks it gives it a unique look. It doesn't bother me much though considering I may never leave the garage. I have plans for 1 or 2 lifts in the two left bays. Not sure yet if I should keep one bay as a work bay and one for the lift. I will know better once we get in.

I would love to see more of your garage. Pics of the inside and/ or second floor maybe? My girlfriend is mad @ me because I said "That garage is exactly what a single guy needs". Humm.. 4 post lift or a ring.. :willy_nil

If you put your girlfriend ahead of your shop, once you marry her she will always expect to come first. You will have a miserable life. She will not be happy and will devorce you and take everything you own. Build your shop first. If she is not happy with that, then look for another girlfriend. Got to keep your priorites straight

Nice job. Very interesting roofline. Looks like you can have a great game room, or car office upstairs. Thats what I want to do with mine, once i get rid of all the junk up there. I need a place for my trophies.
