Hello all and merry Christmas. Long story short, I’ll only be here 3 years and don’t want to deal with diamond grinding. Floor perimeter is definitely rougher than center areas. Can I acid it twice and go for it? Or will rough spots show bare concrete? Using garagearmor epoxy kit.

Decided to hire a local company for full broadcast and proper prep.

If anyone wants a good deal on a armorgarage 2 car kit, PM me. I’ll ship too.

Are they doing a grind down or build up and scuff for adhesion approach?

He said he would smooth out the pitted areas and then diamond grind. I’m a little shocked at price, but they have a very established background.

Would you mind reporting back here with what product they use to smooth the pitted areas before diamond grinding?

I don’t think they ended up doing any repairs. Job is done though. Overall I’m 90% happy, there’s a few wonky spots, but given the condition of my new build crappy pour floor I’m happy. With a military discount it cost me 1800.00 total for a full broadcast 400 square foot job. When looking at DIY kits, full broadcast got expensive real quick. Plus I was dreading grinding myself so this was worth it to me.
