New Garage Time - 2060 sqft !!!!
Well, I have been planning on building a shop of 12 years or so, but with life changes and a few moves, I am finally starting my project. I am going to have a 32x30 shop with a 20x54 pull through storage for whatever I need it for. I only want to do this once! I will have two 10x10 (12 foot walls) doors on the shop with 2 12x14 (16 foot walls) doors on the pull through. I have been working with this design for the past 6 months and finally started it this week with the foundation being poured. I actually had to make the building larger after getting the first set of building plans back. The initial plans called for a steel beam, which was going to cost about 8k a piece and I needed two of them. So it was a no brainer to just make it 4 feet wider. I plan to do most of the work myself with the help of some friends. I did hire out the foundation pour as it was two much commitment. It is easy to move a stud, hard to move 46 yards of concrete. Still need to have some more concrete work done, but that is a few months down the road. So here are some pics. Enjoy.
