Found out about this forum from my collector car site and hope to pick up some useful information on layout and design. Just got the keys to lock it up now. Only had the shell done and nothing inside as yet. I'll have to figure out partitioning it off soon and hope to get some insight on heating and AC as I'm thinking of using those european self contained DIY heat pumps which work good in the south and I would only use it intermittently.:)

Thanks...I had plenty of room on our lot so I had the contractor put an extra header beam for a 9X7 doorway out the back in case I need to go bigger later on.Had this aerial from the county and sent it to my sister so she could try to figure out the layout of the large ponds we have. I had to have an engineer come out to the tune of 850.00 just to tell us we had to put up a silt fence because of the proximity to the pond before the county would issue a permit...Georgia communism at its finest

A plot that size here in the UK would cost well over £1 million, even in the cheaper areas. In the more desirable areas you'd be looking at double figures. If I didn't have so many ties here I'd be looking to move to the US, NZ or Australia. You guys are very lucky to have so much space!

I have one of those little heat pumps for the gameroom complex on the 2nd floor of the garage....works great & is good for a tax credit because it's a more efficient product.
