My wife and I bought our house in February and I've been taking small steps toward fixing up the 22x22 garage ever since. I've recently found this board and I've gotten almost too many ideas about storage, flooring, etc. My eventual plan is to line at least 1, 1.5, or 2 walls with cabinets and a workbench that can roll and maybe a rolling toolbox or two. I can't decide, though how to hang things on the other walls. Pegboard is less than ideal for yard tools. I don't want to limit myself to hooks lagged into the studs. I don't know much about these track systems that make the whole wall look pinstriped; how much do these hold and how are they secured? Any suggestions I don't know about?
I'm also at a loss for the flooring. I bought a couple of gallon kits of Rustoleum Epoxyshield at WalMart for $33 a piece. I thought it was a good deal, but with all the negative reviews I've read here, I'm rethinking. I won't have much room to do any major work, just one car in and out daily and another that will move probably once or twice a week. With enough prep and a clear top coat, will the epoxyshield hold up?
