I'm looking to have a 12' wide X 20' deep garage built with standard garage door side window , cement floor. My township has a 15' foot peak height limit. What is the resonable cost or expect to pay to have one built. Thanks

You gave absolutely no information there that anyone on this site could help you with.
Where do you live?
What do you want?
Will it have electrical?
Will it have heating/cooling?
Insulated?
Brick, metal siding, stucco, etc...?
Is there electrical available?
Will you have electric run?

Please give much, much more detail if you want any help at all from us.

Also, did you search for similar setups and see if the poster listed a price?

I'm going to guess $5k to $10k. My thoughts are SoCal costs more than rural America.

If you go to home centers and lumberyards they typically have a "garage package" which furnishes bare-bones materials to erect and finish the building, although most are 2-car 20' square-sized versions as I recall. They may even have a list of contractors who would do the job for you.

Better question is - What is your initial guess as to what it should cost?

Is the site level?

Along with the height restriction are you aware of the setbacks and any easements?

What are your foreseen electrical requirements?

I agree; nowhere near enough info. I don't even see where it's attached or free-standing. That size is really too small to function as a garage for anything much bigger than a Smart Car. If it's 12 X 20 on the outside, the inside will be a little over 11 X 19. Most cars today, even small ones, are about 6' wide. Then, you want to be able to open the doors fully on each side. I measured my wife's Olds, and it is 12' wide with both doors open. That's assuming it's parked dead center, every time. It's about 17' long, which only gives you a foot or so wiggle room lengthwise, and you couldn't walk around both ends of the car with the door closed.

Perhaps you just want a workshop or shed, and that's fine. Costs could be just about anything. There are so many factors- site prep alone can get pricey if it's not level. Unless you DIY, I think it would be hard to come in much under $10K.

I'm on a 60' X 100' feet lot. I have original garage that was built next to the left side of my house (driveway) and it is 10' wide X 20' long. It's 5' feet off property line. The garage is not attached to the house so there is a walkway between which is about 5' feet. Yes original garage is narrower. Not sure what they were thinking when they built it. The other houses on my street have what is believed to be the standard 12' X 20' garage to back of property. They set 5' feet from side and back from property line. I don't like where original garage is located. The city has limits on how much building space you can use on property. I would go wider by several feet or more if I can. I'm just looking at what a basic garage this size would cost to build. I live in New Jersey.

I don't want garage near the side of my house. This is one of the reasons but also because it's undersized. I would like larger. A 12' x 20' would be ok.

I am always amazed that people are looking for prices on something from a forum rather than contacting a local person or persons for a budget price . Who better to price a garage than your local people.
It drive me crazy when I go to quote a job and I hear well so and so on the plumbing forum said this and that or my buddy the bar fly gave me a lot lower price than you ? Why are you so much higher ?
