Hi, I am a new member and have just completed a new 40x25 garage here in Richmond VA. My main goal was to have storage since most homes in central Virginia do not have basements. I now have a "basement" above my garage space (and it is big!). Anyway, I was hoping to coat the concrete floor before we "moved in". I also have serious plans for the walls but am still working an what my needs for a workbench are since the existing shelves and benches in my attached garage will be trashed (and the attached garage will become our new master bedroom suite - 800sqft). This job took over a year as the first contractor just stopped showing up for work (I was paying him as we went). He left his big box truck full of tools. I applied for an abandoned vehicle title and now own the truck. My wife has a contractor friend who did a great job helping finish the project. I also currently keep my tools in 5 separate Craftsman chests but would like to put them all in one big box. My budget did not allow me to build the garage large enough for my 5-ton 6X6 army truck though.
