Hello Garage Dwellers,

I just had my first garage built and have been without one most of my life. I have a small RV (Sprinter Chassis) and wanted a space for that during the winter months and also wanted a work shop of some type. The building is 24 X 26 feet with one wall at 12' high and the other side 8' high. It is divided into two sections so the garage is 13 X 26 and the workshop is 10 X 26. I also have a loft over the main section with 10' of standing head room at the peak. It is a Saltbox design that I drew up and had a garage builder put it up for me.

I would like to put a "lift" using a hoist and want to be able to store classic motorcycles on the upper floor. Saying that, I need a 4' X 8' platform to raise motorcycles up to 500 pounds to the loft which is 12' high! I have found some on youtube but nothing yet that can support that size motorcycle. I hope some of you may have a solution to that ambitious project. If I can figure out how to post some photos, I'll do so. By the way, these 4 young guys built this building from start to finish in 4 days ready for my RV to go inside. I have some wiring to do but otherwise it is ready for use.

I just joined this forum today!

Thanks HOTFR8,

It took me awhile to find profile update but finally found it and have made the changes you recommended. I'm wondering if I should post my question about a hoist lift in another area of the site?

Thanks for your input.
