It was a great week! Monday I finally decided to pull the trigger and order my floor from Bigfloors.com. After weeks of epoxy vs primer / paint vs Tiles thoughts and I finally decided to go with the GarageDeck brand floor tile. I chose GarageDeck vs the RaceDeck product strictly based on money. I had samples of each brand and honestly there just isn't a big difference. I chose the coin style over the diamond plate based on a few reviews that mentioned the coin style might be a bit easier to clean and the coin style was on sale. 580 square feet of tiles arrived on Friday and I began laying them around 1100. Mid-day is usually about the time my South facing garage becomes more like an oven than a garage but it is what it is and I started laying out my pattern. Floor went down very quickly with my one helper and after about a day I now have a great looking floor that has exceeded my expectations. This stuff really looks and feels great and is truly a DIY dream project.

I had read this before but I haven't found it to be the case. If you can call it a noise its like the difference between walking on hardwood vs ceramic tile. Even though it is technically a floating floor there doesn't appear to be any space between my floor and the concrete underneath. I guess maybe if someone had a very uneven or unlevel base then it might make a sound but Ive walked all over it - and Im a big guy and never noticed an odd sound.
Yes it was 1.99 sq ft and free shipping. It may not be their premium product but it sure looks and feels like money.

Weremy floor flat, I might have done that, but as I need to repair it and grind it anyway I'm doing epoxy primer and poly. Yours looks great, though.
