New gas line causing issues

What’s the deal with gas lines from amazon causing issues with my stove? I got a stainless braided 10 foot gas hose for my little coleman stove so I could run it off the 20lb tank. It immediately clogged the stove. One burner is useless and the other sputters.

Reviewers say something about the gas causing something to leak out of the hose (oil?) and causing clogging issues.

There are filters. Somebody cut one up and it’s just some baffles to trap the oil (?). Why would a line leak oil?

Fortunately, I’ve not used the hose on my Mr. Heater.

Anybody familiar? I will take apart the burner and clean it but I’d like some info on what I’m dealing with. That way, maybe I can avoid this type hose material.

Hoping you guys have discussed. My light search didn’t reveal anyting.

Reviews say about a filter? what is this hose you are talking about? link it so i can see what it is.

Something else seems wrong. burner clogging does not sound right

I bought a hose like this. It allows me to run my stove off a 20lb tank. It immediatly clogged one burner and compromised the other. If it were just debris, fine. I can clear it. Then I dig a bit and find out folks are saying there is oil leaking out of the hose material under pressure.

Mr. Heater sells a hose and one of their selling points is that it doesn’t leak oil. That’s nice.

There are filters one can attach to the hose. Someone (I forget where) cut one of the filters open and it’s just a baffle to catch the oil. Which is fine.

I’d rather get gas lines that don’t leak/produce oil though.

I thought this gang may have come across this issue before.

unless oil is in the hose, why would it produce oil?

depends what the inner lining is made of. seeing as how Amazon is turning into the new Ebay and selling a lot of cheap chinese **** i would stay away and but a better brand. could be something as simple as debris in the hose or maybe if they used a rubber liner and the propane is causing a reaction somehow, idk.
take the burners off and see what you find.

Welcome to the wide world of chinesium ****... If your rubber hose is leaking oil, my guess is it's not anything I'd want to use in gas service anyway.

Of course, the chinese don't care - they got their money from you, sold you a used rubber oil line off of a tractor as a gas hose...

I know that when you switch Oxy/Acy welding to Oxy/Propane you are supposed to change hoses to a type approved for propane. It may be hose is the wrong type for propane and is being damaged by the chemicals that are in propane.

I've read this too; Buy only the Mr. Heater hose for adapting to big tanks. Even priced it all out at Lowes but went with electric oil rads instead.
Sorry to say but its buyer beware with Chinese products. I've returned more things (cables, valves, gauges, a freaking HITCH) than all my previous years buying online.
