GearWrench # 81276 isn't even in the latest Apex Tool Group catalog...

I received the GW 81230P 120 tooth set for Christmas...

The set is available from about $ 95.00...

How new is your catalog? the newest digital versions I can find are from May 2013 which are missing lots of newer items.

The set you listed is nice, but they aren't locking flex, which lots of people have been asking for.

If you have a newer catalog I'd be curious in knowing where you got it.

It's a mystery :wtf:

It would appear from the photo that Gearwrench may be cloning the popular Armstrong Maxx series locking flex head ratchet.

If so, that might be sweet as Gearwrench flex head ratchets are longer than the Armstrong versions.

However, I find it odd that there was no mention of these new ratchets at November's SEMA show where they usually show off their new products for the coming year. Then again, Gearwrench didn't mention anything about the several new bit driver sets they just came out with either:dunno:

Gearwrench recently released another Arnstrong design, their pinless impact swivel sockets.

Time will tell. I know the Gearwrench website and catalog are out of date. New tools usually first appear in the pages of tool web, PTEN, or automotive trade magazines. EBAY commercial sellers like beach audio are also quick to bring new product to market.

If this is real, this would be an interesting development and probably a pretty darn good bargain. I already consider the USA-made Armstrong Maxx locking flex a very good bargain.

But as already mentioned, why haven't we heard about these through the official GW channels?

This page lists 84 teeth. If it's anything like their other 84-tooth ratchets they will ****. Those have a lot of issues with locking up and switching on you randomly.
