I just ordered one of the Gladiator tool carts from Sears. I had about $45.00 in shop your way points and got another $17.00 in Surprise Bonus Points when I checked out. It came to $96.79 with free 2 day shipping. I will give it a shot.

A local unclaimed freight place had one for $54 last week. This place mostly deals in furniture, I was surprised to see this in their warehouse. I looked it over and didn't think it was worth $54.

Gladiator premier fan...but after seeing this at Sears it's garbage. Harbor Freight is a much nicer unit.

I don't need a cart as big as a harbor freight cart. I just need a small cart to put a few things in when I am out in my driveway. I don't expect much for $96.79. Plus sears gave me $11.50 in points back after the purchase. I was going to get the cheapest Bluepoint but its like almost $200 for a metal cart with out a drawer. I just had 2 Preimum Snap-on carts and traded them for a KTL1022 Snap-on tool box so I know what a quality cart is. If the Gladiator turns out to be to junky I will give it to my son to put his Craftsman USA in. He is 5 I am sure it will suit him.

That cart does certainly look suitable for a five year old's tools. He'll need something a bit better soon enough though.

The Gladiator Tool Cart arrived today. I have to say for what I payed I am pleased. It seems sturdy and has large heavy duty castors. The drawers are nice and smooth and don't feel flimsy. Its not a tank but it will suit my needs just fine. Everything that I wanted to put in it fit fine. I guess me and my son will have to share it. lol

I like my Gladiator box.
I am glad to here a good report on the cart.

How big is the space underneath ?
I am wondering if the 4 drawer HF would fit there.

A lot of nice tools in that cart.
I like the colors of the ratcheting screwdriver.

The bottom compartment is 27 Wide 18 High 16 Deep. The cart is plenty heavy for what I need it for. I was looking for a lighter cart just to put some basic metric hand tools in. Plus it has a 10 year warranty. If you need more space it might not be the way to go. I know the harbor freight cart has good reviews but I really don't shop there. I have been thinking about giving the ****** jack a shot though. Thanks for the compliment on the tools. I try to keep them clean and take care of them. Yeah that ratcheting screwdriver is one of my favorite.

You should have snagged that! It on sears.com for 358.57!
Hmm... there was a red clearance tag on the maple top (which was sitting on the cart) that read $109.99, and a regular tag on the base that read $500 something. I wonder if the $109.99 was just for the top? It was the one pictured with the built in handles: http://www.sears.com/gladiator-5-drawer-modular-gear-drawer-reg/p-00959433000P?rrec=true

At any rate, I don't really have the floor space for something like that. Shop floor space is mostly taken up with machinery, tools are on the wall in racks or on shelves, pretty much by necessity. Garage floor space is at a premium as well, and I would either have to keep a second set of tools in it, or transfer tools from the shop to the gladiator when I work on the car. I will admit, it is a major pain in the *** having to go back into the shop from the garage everytime I need another tool. It would be really nice to have something I could stock with tools in the shop, then roll out to the car where I'm working. I'm not sure the gladiator is the right solution, though.

Yeah I think its close except the husky has smaller castors and the castors bolt through the bottom tray, the gladiator has square tubing on the bottom with welded nuts. The husky has a 90 day warranty and regular key, The Gladiator has a 10 year and a tubular lock. Husky doesn't come with draw liners, Gladiator does. The husky is $130 now plus tax with Draw liners.
