Hello everyone. I've been snooping around here for a while now and thought it was a fine time to introduce myself. First off, what a great board this is. Lot's of knowledgeable and helpful guys and gals. I'm looking forward to being a part of this community.
Well, ever since I can remember, I've always been tearing things apart to see what makes them tick. You really could learn a lot by reverse engineering things! When I got to high school, I was in my glory... with classes like auto mechanics, wood working, electricity, mechanical drawing & metal working. I absorbed all that I could.
Nowadays, if something breaks my first inclination is to fix it myself but I do know my limitations and call in a professional if necessary. I have a two car garage where I keep all my tools and supplies. I am also fortunate enough to have a small workshop in my basement where I can work when it's too cold in the garage. With a house, a family and two cars, there is something that needs to be repaired or replaced.
Most of my internet searches are for "How To's".
Thank you for reading this. I look forward to learning and sharing with everyone.
