That place is GREAT! So much character and so many cool parts and tools lurking around. Very nice, any plans for changes or upgrades?

thanks guys, the shop used to be a drive threw car wash that my grandfather opened in the early 60's, after he passed away it was given to my father, and he ran the buisness untill it wasnt turing a profit anymore, it was also my first, and favorite job ( towel drying cars)

my father then went into the trucking buisness and me and him turned the building into a shop for the truck, now he has basically passed it down to me, its my playhouse lol, for the future i wanna build a second story over the office so i can live there, and would really like to get the inside painted

its taken 10 years to get the place the way it is today, i wish i had pics of the before, had strip all the equipment out, have the entire roof done, added the door so the semi would fit, built the office, clean clean clean , and more cleaning, been just organizing for the past year or so, still find things i didnt know i had

since i have gotten to this forum i have become addicted to tools lol, the boxs are almost full, but i had a good start, lots of dads tools, and lots of good old sk and blackhawk tools that where my grandfathers

the safe came from the post office in newell WV im guessing around the 60's or 70's. grandfather owned townhall and had to buy a safe fro the post office, when they left, he took the safe home, we just got it this year after the miller mansion was sold ( not really a mansion, but it was a big *** 100+ yr old house ) had to have a flatbed come get it, it was lifting the front wheels off the ground while loading it

Great pics! I too would love to poke around and see what treasures await in the dark undiscovered recesses of the cave. :D

You're very blessed to have such family history present with you each time you're in the shop. Very cool. Not many people can experience that.

Thanks very much for sharing!.
